Huawei, the Chinese information and communications technology provider (and manufacturer of phones), have unleashed their latest handset at CES 2012 – the gorgeous dual core Ascend P1 S.

It appears that the next instalment of Nokia’s warmly received Lumia series – the Lumia 900 – is all set for a release in February 2012.
This is according to a tweet – perhaps a gaff – from the Swiss Telecommunications company Swisscom. In the tweet, swisscom is responding to a user who asks specifically about the Lumia 900 and states a release date “at the end of feb”.
The new phone, as seen in a leaked Nokia Lumia 900 video, should be right up there with other high-end smartphones according to its supposed specs. It is said to pack a 1.4GHz processor under the hood, as well as a large 4.3 inch screen, as compared with the 3.7 inch screen of the Lumia 800. It is also said to have a 8 megapixel camera as well as much improved battery life.
We, for one, are looking forward to its release – and it’s been a long time since we’ve said that about a Nokia!
The BBC has finally released its long-awaited BBC iPlayer App for iPhone.
The BBC iPlayer App grants UK television license payers access to the BBC’s on demand television content, as well as BBC radio stations. The App streams content via your phones 3G connection, so you can watch Strictly or listen to Terry Wogan’s dulcid tones on the move.
